Phloeun Prim stands as a unique figure in the sphere of cultural leaders, pioneering his own brand of leadership that is deeply rooted in Cambodia while reaching global scales. Currently Executive Director of Living Arts International, a non-profit organization aiming to catalyze transformation in post-conflict societies through the arts and culture, Phloeun’s 25 years of experience of on-the-ground leadership are a testament to his vision and expertise, with particular success in developing sustainable hybrid business models for cultural NGOs. His strength of mobilizing networks and collaborating have led to large scale events such as Season of Cambodia in New York and the international tour of Bangsokol: A Requiem for Cambodia, exemplifying his ability to bridge the local and the global in both directions.
Phloeun has served on the board of multiple multinational organizations and contributed to the most prestigious conferences and platforms in arts and culture including UNESCO and the Abu Dhabi Culture Summit, as well as teaching his own curriculum around “Arts for Transformation” at NYU Abu Dhabi since 2017.
